The Banat Hotel

Location: The location of this hotel is extremely good. Situated on a square a few minutes walk from the centre, it offers you many transport options: trams, buses, and the metro. IT's close to Piata University and is about 15 minutes walk from Unirii and also Romana. The building itself is old and with some character although it would benefit from renovation (although clean it's not very stylish).

It has a restaurant downstairs and the breakfast was quite good. It's about par for a 2-star hotel. My only real gripe was the service, which I found to be quite disinterested and bordering on rude. If you need a place to stay and you want to be central, then the Banat 'will do'.
